Alicyclic, prefilled , thermally-cured and two-component epoxy casting resin system for outdoor application.

Applications

Outdoor electrical insulation material for medium and high voltage
application, such as current and voltage transformers ... Etc.
Conventional casting with stage-wise curing, or pressure gelation or automatic pressure gelation casting (PG or APG process).


Properties:
▪ Good mechanical and electrical properties;
▪ Good thermal shock resistance;
▪ Resistance to corrosion caused by ultraviolet radiation;
▪ Suitable for manufacturing of insulators with good weathering resistance
and capability of operation under harsh conditions.
▪ Use of filler subject to treatment with coupling agent, improving
the dielectric properties under wet conditions;


Viscosity increase and gel time at various temperatures, refer to Figs: 4.1 and Fig 4.2.

Liquid, hot-curing, cycloaliphatic epoxy resin system for outdoor application in difficult climatic conditions.

Applications:
Outdoor electrical insulation material for medium and high voltage applications in humid conditions: apparatus components, pin/post insulators, bushings, etc.

Processing methods:
Automatic pressure gelation process (APG). Conventional gravity casting process under vacuum. Suitable for Rapid-APG.

Properties:
Very high mechanical and dielectrical properties. Good thermal shock resistance.
High resistance to erosion under UV-radiation. High tracking and arc resistance.
Fulfilled the tests of EDF Standard HN 26-E-20.
The use of silanised silica flour ensures stable dielectrical properties under outdoor humid conditions.
